“I got to know Contec during a joint professional project in 2000. At a certain time in my career I was searching for a way to constantly take on new challenges in the field of Electrical & Instrumentation. So, in 2002 it didn’t take long for me to decide to transfer to Contec. What struck me were the professionalism and the good atmosphere amongst colleagues, which still exists within the company. During my career at Contec, I have been able to expand my professional knowledge by taking part in various different projects, chiefly in the petrochemical sector. As part of my job, I meet colleagues and clients from all fields, ranging from process technologies, piping and electrical engineering up to software. This keeps the job exciting. You gain loads of experience and within a foreseeable period you are independently managing the projects in your field of interest. In addition to the technical side of the job, you also get a chance to develop your organisational skills within the company. At Contec colleagues are always ready to help you with any questions. Whether these relate to technology, methodology or organisation, there is always someone to help you on your way. It’s possible to follow regular in-house training courses and also to submit proposals to follow more specific training courses. Aside from work, we take time to organise out-of-office activities, such as team building, a Saint Nicholas party and a Christmas party. This allows us to maintain contact with colleagues from the other departments, so we can always present ourselves to clients as one “Contec team”."
